Far-Flung Dog Training

Outdoors and under cover

Out training and event facility

The Far-Flung Dog Training facility in Papa'ikou sits on appromixametly 2 fenced acres and provides opportunities to train on several full sets of agility equipment. We also have the opportunity to train rain or shine, indoors or out, on grass or on dirt.

The outdoor field is a 100 X 110 11,000 sq foot fenced field of grass. The surrounding grounds provide plenty of room for tenting during events. The facility supplies county water, restroom facilities and stock tanks to cool down the dogs. There is electricity available in the greenhouse and on the field.

The field plays host to monthly events including Sanctioned Agility Trials through Orchid Isle Dog Agility (OIDA) in January, May and September (NADAC and CPE); and the Hilo Obedience Training Club (HOTC) AKC events in April and November. OIDA also hosts seminars in April and September, and 3 - 4 fun matches per year at our field.

Far-Flung Agility training also hosts it's own events including a two week workshop series in January with Andrea Dexter, and 2 fun matches per year. Please see the Calendar for a list of Agility events island wide.

The indoor facility is a refurbished greenhouse. This 6,000 sq foot space affords us an opportunity to train rain or shine, on different footing and in an indoor environment.
